Human beings are designed in such a way that they love and enjoy freedom. Often people imagine themselves as a bird who can fly freely in the sky and can travel to anywhere they want. It is a famous saying of Roger Tory that “Birds have the wings and they are free to fly wherever they want to. The freedom of movement which birds possess makes many people jealous”. Well I do agree with this quote to some extent. Sometimes when I get tired with my hectic routine, I lay down and think about how different my life would have been if I was a bird. I could travel to any place in the world freely without asking anyone’s permission. When we talk about the Ayaat of Quran and read it thoroughly, we will realize that even Quran has discussed about a particular bird many times. The bird Hud-Hud which is also known as Hoopoe is mentioned 13 times in Quran. Hud-Hud is a graceful birdwhose scientific name is Upupaepops. There are almost seven species of Hud-Hud bird. This bird exists in the tropical regions of the world and also in those places which have mild temperature. Each year when Muslims travel from all over the world to Saudi Arabia, by availing the packages like Best 5-star Luxury Hotels Family Umrah offer with Luxury Hotels with Air Tickets 2017 , they always wishes to feed the Hud-Hud birds which are present in Saudi Arabia’s Dhahran Hills and holds a lot of significance in Islam due to their name mentioned 13 times in the Holy book. This bird is a bit small and it is 12 inches long, but it has powerful claws. It has small legs with heavy feet. The peak of this bird is quite pretty and there is a large crown of feathers on the head of this bird which makes it unique among all others. This crown of feathers opens up when it senses any alarming situation. Prophet Solomon was the ruler of many Jinns and birds and the birds included Hud-Hud as well which used to communicate the messages of Prophet Solomon where ever he ordered them to convey that message. In Quran, it has been mentioned how the Prophet Solomon used to tell the birds to deliver their messages. This increases the importance of this bird in Islam due to which many Muslims show their curiosity towards this particular bird Hud-Hud. Here You Can Read More Topics About Islamic Teachings
